Duet for Theremin & Lap Steel to Play Conundrum Music Hall, 8/13

By:

Duet for Theremin and Lap Steel is Scott Burland (Theremin) and Frank Schultz (Steel) will perform at the Conundrum Music Hall on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 9 pm (doors open at 8 pm). Tickets are $6.

Together Thermin and Lap Steel create a combination of sounds from two non-fixed-pitch instruments and laptops in an improv environment with a disregard for traditional styles, creating rich textures, swooning collages, and hypnotic pulses.

The duet will be joined by filmmaker Robbie Land who will be screening his abstract imagery alongside the group, as well as performing an opening act.
