The Fridays by the Fountain presented by Memorial Regional Cancer Center concert originally scheduled Friday, August 2, has been rescheduled to Friday, September 6. The rock band Velvet Jones will take "the stage" in the Jon R. Hunt Plaza in front of the historic Morris Performing Arts Center during lunchtime from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. The band is a high-energy, rock n' roll band that plays a mix of music rooted in classic and modern alternative rock.

There was no Justin Bieber, no Backstreet Boys, no New Kids on the Block. Forever Plaid takes you back to the 1950's, where clean-cut, close harmony groups such as "The Four Freshmen" and "The Four Aces" crooned their harmonious love songs to the top of the charts. Forever Plaid is a musical revue of such an era and will make you laugh while you are warmed with music that is sure to evoke fond memories. The show runs August 14-24 at the Wagon Wheel Theatre in Warsaw.

In 19th century France, Jean Valjean is released from 19 years of unjust imprisonment yet finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a life-long struggle for redemption. He is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe Valjean can change his ways. Finally, during the Paris student uprising of 1832, Javert must confront his ideals after Valjean spares his life and saves the student revolutionary who has captured the heart of Cosette, the adopted daughter of Valjean.
