Shakespeare at Notre Dame's 2015 Season to Feature MACBETH, THE WINTER'S TALE & More

Shakespeare at Notre Dame announced its 2015 season today. Offering a subscription of plays for the first time in the organization's history, the 16th season will include one tragedy, two comedies, and one romantic fairy tale, all following the theme: 'Love, Loss, and Laughter.'

South Bend Civic Theatre presents Neil Simon's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning comedy Lost in Yonkers January 9-25, 2015 in the Warner Theatre, 403 N Main Street in South Bend. Hailed as "the best play Neil Simon ever wrote" - New York Post, Lost in Yonkers tells the funny and poignant story of Jay and Arty, two teenage boys in 1942. When their recently widowed father has to take a travelling sales job, he leaves his sons to their Grandmother in Yonkers. The boys find life challenging and bewildering around their eccentric relatives: strict German immigrant Grandma Kurnitz, child-like Aunt Bella, and mobster Uncle Louie. Simon's play explores the hardship, pain, humor and love of these richly drawn characters.
Great American Songbook Winner to Perform National Anthem at Colts Game, 12/14

Maddie Baillio, the 2014 winner of the Great American Songbook Academy will perform the National Anthem at the Dec. 14 Colts game at Lucas Oil Stadium. The 18-year-old from League City, Texas was the winner in the 2014 competition, held at the Palladium concert hall in July. In addition to the Colts game performance, Baillio will debut at New York City's Birdland jazz club on December 16, performing alongside Michael Feinstein, founder of the Great American Songbook Foundation and artistic director at the Center for the Performing Arts. Baillio is the Great American Songbook Youth Ambassador, a one year title.
