Under the Streetlamp Comes to the Morris Center Tonight

By:

Under The Streetlamp bring the early rock & roll, doo wop and Motown classics to South Bend! Formed in Chicago in 2010, Under the Streetlamp quickly earned a devoted local following and came to the attention of Charlie Blum who runs the Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville, Indiana.

"I've put on and seen thousands of shows but was instantly struck by the boys clearly authentic love for this music, their amazing showmanship and rapport with one another, their numerous standing ovations, and their total commitment to delivering these classics songs in a phenomenal fun filled way. They are having a big party and the audience is invited to join in." All four members of Under the Streetlamp - Shonn Wiley, Michael Cunio, Michael Ingersoll and Christopher Kale Jones - appeared at one time or another in the Chicago or national company of Jersey Boys.

Also performing is the new Chicago-based a cappella group, Gentleman's Rule, produced by Dan Ponce, creator of Straight No Chaser, and Charlie Blum, executive producer of Under The Streetlamp. The men of Gentleman's Rule have been working hard in the studio and on stage to prepare for the launch of their debut album on November 13th, which will include music made popular by David Guetta, Bob Marley, Nelly, Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars, B.o.B., Gavin DeGraw, Wild Cherry, One Republic, Peter Gabriel, Jake Owen, The Script, Outkast, plus 2 original songs. The members of Gentleman's Rule are: TJ Breen (Tenor 2); Corey Frye (Tenor 1), Drew Kipfer (Bass), Will Lockhart (Baritone), Brent Mann (Tenor 2), Luke Mechling (Bass), Andrew Morstein (Tenor 1), Holland Nightenhelser (Tenor 2), Jasper Smith (Baritone) and Jesse Townes (Tenor 1). "Their energy is contagious and their talent is world-class," says Ponce. "Fans of all ages can expect an unforgettable show featuring amazing soloists backed up by breath-taking harmony. I am counting the days until opening night."
