South Bend Civic Theatre Seeks Managing Director

South Bend Civic Theatre is one of the largest and most dynamic community theatres in the United States with 13 paid employees and an annual operating budget of approximately $900,000. SBCT seeks applicants for the position of Managing Director, who will oversee the Theatre's day-to-day administrative operations while reporting to and working collaboratively with its Artistic Director as a creative executive team to advance the Theatre's mission of "Making a Dramatic Difference" in north central Indiana.

The Theatre draws upon a base of over 1,000 committed volunteer actors, directors and technicians to stage 15 productions each year in its state of the art facility. In addition to its regular production schedule, SBCT offers adult classes and a robust youth program that includes year-round education and outreach activities.

The successful candidate for this full time position will have a passion for community theatre and demonstrated abilities in the areas of business finance, fund development, and HR management in addition to outstanding leadership and collaborative skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and to prioritize concurrent projects with multiple deadlines. An MBA is preferred but not required.
