South Bend Civic Theatre Announces Three New Community Initiatives

South Bend Civic Theatre is proud to announces three new initiatives to better serve additional members of the Michiana Community.

SHOWTIME CHILD CARE

For parents who really want to see one of our productions and can't find or afford suitable child care, we are now offering "Showtime Child Care" on a first-come, first-served basis for Wednesday evening performances with a limit of 12 total children per show. While mom and dad are enjoying a show in our theatre, their child will be watched over by the CIVIC's own Music Together teacher, Amber Goddard. Amber and her helper Michelle will sing, dance, make music, and play with our smallest CIVIC patrons. To reserve a spot for their child, parents should contact the CIVIC Box Office at 574-234-1112. Again, there is only room for 12 children during each Wednesday performance and will allocated on first-come, first-served basis.

PAY WHAT YOU CAN PREVIEWS

For some members of our community, the price of a South Bend Civic Theatre ticket remains out of reach. To help those who want to see a performance at the CIVIC but just can't fit it into their budget, we're proud to announce PAY WHAT YOU CAN PREVIEWS. The Thursday night performance before each show's opening night will be set aside for our patrons who will "Pay What They Can." A "Preview" is a full performance; actors, musicians, sets, and lighting just as you'd see them on opening night! Patrons should come to the CIVIC Box Office about one hour before showtime on Preview Night (Thursday nights at 7:30pm, the night before Friday night's Premiere) to get in line to reserve their tickets.

FEDERAL EMPLOYEE COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS

As the nation enters the second month of the Federal Government Shutdown, South Bend Civic Theatre would like to offer TWO FREE TCKETS for any CIVIC show to any furloughed Federal Employee in the Michiana area. This offer we extend for the duration of the Federal Government Shutdown. Patrons are asked to present valid Federal Employee Identification when picking up their tickets at the CIVIC Box Office. Limited to one pair of tickets for each Federal Employee ID.
