SOUTHERN FRIED NUPTIALS Opens this Week at Derby Dinner Playhouse

By: Aug. 22, 2017

Derby Dinner Playhouse will present the comedy, SOUTHERN FRIED NUPTIALS, August 23 through October 1, 2017. For ticket information please call 812-288-8281 or visit www.derbydinner.com.

Weddings bring out the best, the worst, and the funniest in people, and the Frye family is no exception. SOUTHERN FRIED NUPTIALS is a big-hearted comedy about family, southern style! This hilarious sequel to last year's smash hit, SOUTHERN FRIED FUNERAL, will reunite you with all the Mississippi clan. And this time, instead of a funeral, they are planning a wedding! Harlene and Attie are getting ready for the big day, but between her cold feet and a mysterious man from her past, Dorothy is not sure she will ever get the wedding she wants for her daughter. Add in the dimwitted Dewey Jr., Sammy Jo with her marital issues, the zany Fairy June, and the formidable Ozella Meeks, and you are in for two hours of pure comedy!

SOUTHERN FRIED NUPTIALS was written by Osborne and Eppler. Derby Dinner's production was directed by Bekki Jo Schneider. The cast will include DDP favorites Tina Jo Wallace, Janet Essenpreis, Brian Bowman, Colette Delaney, Elizabeth Loos, Bill Hanna, Cary Wiger, Jon Huffman, Zachary Burrell, Debbie King-Raque, and Rita Thomas.
