The 12/12 Multilingual Live Arts Festival, now in its third year, is presented by POPArt Theatre in partnership with Joburg Theatre Space.com as a celebration of South Africa's twelve official languages through the medium of theatre. Twelve short plays, each twelve minutes long, are selected to represent each official language, spanning a range of genres and styles while keeping language at the forefront of each work. The festival runs over four days, with three productions performed per day. Previous editions have produced works that have gone on to develop into full-length productions staged at other theatre spaces across the country.
