WORDPLAY - INSPIRED IMPROV will bring improvised theatre back to the Alexander Bar this spring, with three performances scheduled for the start of September. The hour-long show will be performed by Megan Furniss, Tandi Buchan, Ryan Jales, Leon Clingman, Brett Fish Andersson, Ardine Fick, David Luyt and Ashley Peter.

ImproGuise, Cape Town's oldest, award-winning improv troupe, best known for their brilliant "off the cuff" performances, promise audiences an innovative evening of theatre in WORDPLAY. During the show, the performers will use the audience's favourite words as inspiration. Whether these words are from poems, plays, books or even made-up magnetic fridge poetry, the ImproGuise team will play with the words they are given.

WORDPLAY - INSPIRED IMPROV runs from 1 - 3 September with shows taking place at 21:00 nightly. Tickets cost R90-R100 and can be booked online or at the bar, anytime during its regular opening hours. Telephone bookings can be made on 021 300 1652. Alexander Bar & Café is situated on 76 Strand Street in Cape Town's CBD. Find out more about the venue on Facebook or Twitter.
