'Revue 2018' To Be Presented At Carnival City

Lefra Productions' very successful annual national revue competition will be presented at Carnival City from 14 -24 August 2018. The finals will be presented in the Big Top Arena on 12 September 2018. Well-known radio and TV personality, Sue Pyler, will be presenting REVUE 2018. The judges are also well-known celebrities in South Africa's entertainment industry - Lizz Meiring, Helene Bester and Duane Williams. The Director is Frans Swart. REVUE is presented with the kind support of Carnival City, RSG, Stuttaford van Lines, Hollywood Costumes and Sounds Good.

REVUE 2018 will be presented on the following dates:

• 14,15 August 2018 - 19:00 (High Schools)
• 16 August 2018 - 19:00 (High Schools - Semi Finals)
• 21-23 August 2018 - 19:00 (Primary Schools)
• 24 August 2018 - 19:00 (Primary Schools - Semi Finals)
• 12 September 2018 - Finals

Frans Swart, Director of REVUE 2018, said it is the third year that this very successful national revue competition is presented. "We are very proud of the success that we have achieved with REVUE over the past year. Schools spend a lot of time, energy and money on their annual revue production. It was therefor very important to us at Lefra Productions to create such a competition to give these Wonderful Productions more opportunities to perform." He said the quality of the revues are very high. "Some of these productions are little musicals and I must say the standard of South African School Revues is very high!"

Big Prizes are up for grabs. Schools can win more than R36 000 in cash prizes. The organisers of the winning schools van also win a trip on the Oppiwater Arts Festival that is presented from 15-19 April 2018 on the MSC Musica. The overall winner can also win one of Lefra's top productions to be presented by the school as a fundraiser.
