David Viviers, Cameron Robertson and Nicholas
Ellenbogen will appear in RAIDERS, SPACED
OUT, THE MOON ROCK MUSICAL

Three productions all on the road to the National Arts Festival will be showcased at Cape Town's Rosebank Theatre over the coming week. MPINGA MORNINGS, EBOLA and RAIDERS, SPACED OUT, THE MOON ROCK MUSICAL will each play two performances, warming up the wintery Capetonian June evenings.

Coleen van Staden directs Debi Hawkins in Roger Hawkins's MPINGA MORNINGS. The play examines the lives of three women, a mother, a daughter and a maid whose lives are bound together by a farm and a common history. Set in the turbulent recent Zimbabwean troubles, the story sees the women live through civil war, land invasions and economic collapse. MPINGA MORNINGS will play the Rosebank Theatre on 21 - 22 June at 19:30.

International award-winning actress Hilda Cronje takes the stage in EBOLA, directed by Nicholas Ellenbogen. Cronje and Ellenbogen collaborated on the writing of the play, which also features choreography by the former. Presented by Theatre for Africa, EBOLA will be on stage at the Rosebank on 23 - 24 June.

Ellenbogen will also take the stage in RAIDERS, SPACED OUT, THE MOON ROCK MUSICAL. He will be joined by Cameron Robertson, David Viviers and Nathan Lynn, reuniting the team that created the Standard Bank Ovation Award-winning RAIDERS: THE MUSICAL last year. This time, Ellenbogen and his boy band present the true history of the American moon landing: the rock, the laughter, the jive to survive. RAIDERS, SPACED OUT, THE MOON ROCK MUSICAL runs on 25 and 26 June.

Bookings for all three shows, which are all performed at 19:30, can be made by calling Liz on 072 3166 133. The Rosebank Theatre is situated at 16 Alma Road in Rosebank, Cape Town, next to the Alma Cafe, and can be followed on Facebook and Twitter.
