Photo Flash: FIELA SE KIND Sells Out at the Baxter Teater

Lefra Productions's hit production of Dalene Matthee's FIELA SE KIND has completely sold out at the Baxter Theatre in Cape Town. Take a look at some images from the production as well as social shots from the foyer at the Baxter Theatre through the lens of photographer Neels Kleynhans below!
Frans Swart, the director and producer of FIELA SE KIND, says there are not even single tickets in the house available for the production:
When a production has even sold out the single tickets, then one knows that audiences want to see a production. We are truly very thankful for the unbelievable support that FIELA has received from audiences in the Western Cape.
As a recult of the huge interest in FIELA SE KIND and requests for more FIELA tickets, the Baxter Teater and Lefra Produksies have decided to schedule an extra morning performance of the show on 26 Augustus at 11:00. Swart continues:
Our phones are still ringing off the hook and therefore we very quickly made plans to give Cape Town an extra performance. We sadly cannot extend the run at all, as we open at the Attrerbury Theatre in Pretoria net week. But Capetonians should not worry, because we will certainly bring FIELA back to the Western Cape - here where it belongs!
In this production, the extremely popular Shaleen Surtie-Richards is back in the role after thirty years. Surtie-Richards says:
Man, it's wonderful for me to jump back into Fiela's body. You know, it is my role. When Frans contacted me to ask if I would play Fiela for him, I immediately said yes, because it was absolutely high time that I brought Fiela to the stage again. And boy, do we have a wonderful time on the stage, because I share it with the greatest talent in the country!
The rest of the cast includes Marissa Claasen and Phillru van Achterbergh, as the older Nina and Lukas respectively, with Vian Singleton as Young Benjamin/Lukas, Jaime du Toit as Young Nina, Paul Lückhoff as Elias van Rooyen, Edrien Erasmus as Barta van Rooyen, Johny Klein as Selling Komoetie, Dirk Vermeulen and Nardus van der Vyver as the census takers, Divan Prinsloo as Willem van Rooyen, Graigan Swartz as Tollie Komoetie and Marilise van Wyk as Emma Komoetie.
