Legendary Musical Family to Appear in Gate69 Cabaret MOM AND ME

What do you get when you combine the doyenne of South African musical theatre Judy Paige with platinum album-selling daughter Kim Kallie as well as a third generation of artistic talent in Sarah-Paige, under the musical direction of the brilliant Johan Laas? You get the delightful show MOM AND ME, with four exceptional talents combining to bring Cape Town audiences an unforgettable evening of entertainment.

MOM AND ME is a journey through the world of traditional and modern jazz, popular music and a touch of the theatre. All this, sketched around the framework of the mother and daughter relationships crossing the three generations, provides the ingredients for this celebration of love and companionship. Musical gems include "Moondance", "Desperado", "Feeling Good" and "Barcelona".

With major musicals such as CHICAGO, MAME, THE KING AND I and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF under her belt and a plethora of awards to her name, little gives Page more pleasure than stepping out with Kallie, who has enjoyed her own significant credits, including EVITA and numerous other productions to add to her recording success. Add Page's young, vibrant and energetic granddaughter, and MOM AND ME promises to be a recipe that is too-fresh-to-flop. Their accompanist, Laas, writes, composes and directs international extravaganzas, television shows and was the musical director of IDOLS for its first ten years

Performances of MOM AND ME take place on 17 and 18 December. Tickets are available from the official Gate69 website and range in price from R450 - R595, which includes a delicious designer mezze served on a double-tiered Lazy Susan, a separate hot soup and bread service as well as a mouth-watering purple Patron soft serve ice-cream for dessert. The suggested arrival time is 18:30 for a drink in the bar, with dinner at 19:00 and the show at 20:15.
