DISNEY ON ICE Announces Additional South African Tour Dates

The popularity of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Disney's The Lion King and Pinocchio, and Disney/Pixar's Finding Nemo and Toy Story is unprecedented worldwide and South Africa is no exception. Since the SA tour dates for Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic were announced the public response has been phenomenal. To accommodate the demand for tickets, Showtime Management, the local promoter of this fanfare production has added early evening shows, commencing at 6pm, to the show schedule.

Brought to South Africa by Showtime Management in association with DSTV, Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic opens on Friday, 11 July 2014 at the Coca-Cola Dome, Johannesburg and runs until Sunday, 20 July 2014. Thereafter the production moves to the Grand Arena, GrandWest, Cape Town from Wednesday, 23 to Sunday, 27 July 2014.

Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic features more than 60 unforgettable Disney characters, a sing-along score of award-winning Disney music, stunning choreography, elaborate sets and beautiful costumes.

This is the first time that Showtime Management is promoting a Disney On Ice production but not the first Disney show that the company has been involved in. Previous Disney shows include the highly successful Beauty & The Beast and High School Musical. Originally founded some 30 years ago by Hazel Feldman and now working with her son and partner, Tony, Showtime has a wealth of experience across the live entertainment spectrum. Concert productions include the FIFA 2010 Kick-off Concert; Enimem's Rapture Tour and recent theatre productions include Tap Dogs, Mamma Mia!, Dirty Dancing and Jersey Boys.
