Cape Town City Ballet Announces Holiday Offerings, 11 Dec - 11 Jan

With Christmas around the corner, now is the time to start filling your Christmas stockings. This year Cape Town City Ballet has three exquisite ballets lined up, from 11 December 2013 - 11 January 2014, that you could consider as gift or treat for the festive season.

The season starts with Robin van Wyk's brand new ballet, The Tin Soldier. This enchanting fairytale ballet will thrill young and old with its love story full of adventure, phantasy and humour. Based on the well-known story by Hans Christian Anderssen, The Tin Soldier will be staged from 11 - 24 December.

In Belles & Beaux the company will show off their skills as they perform a variety of works from modern to classical ballets. Cape Town City Ballet will charm audiences with a display of their interpretative and technical flair in this programme of varying styles, featuring some of the best female and male roles in the ballet repertoire. From 18 - 22 December.

Night & Day is a slick and sizzling tribute to Cole Porter, considered one of the best songwriters of all times. With lavish costumes, toe-tapping rhythms and memorable tunes, the dancers will treat audiences to an evening of top entertainment. A special performance on 31 December is scheduled at 9pm. The show runs from 31 December to 11 January.
