With the final days of summer rapidly flying by, the Rosebank Theatre in Cape Town has two productions lined up for March and April to help audiences in the Mother City acclimatise to autumn. Next week, KWAMANZI promises to take patrons to the Rosebank on a ride through the bushveld that they will not want to leave, while the school holidays in April will see a traditional PUNCH AND JUDY show aim to delight young children and their families.

Having won the hearts of audiences from as far afield as Kenya to the royal family at Balmoral Castle, Nicholas Ellenbogen's groundbreaking conservation play, KWAMANZI, returns to the stage from 15 March - 15 April. Set around a waterhole, this physical theatre piece chronicles the lives of the animals which depend on it for survival. It is a timeless reflection on the tragic impact that man has had on the natural world in recent decades and, while celebrating the wild kingdom which graces Africa's plains, KWAMANZI reminds us of the need to value and protect our animal neighbours before it is too late.

No matter one's age, the Rosebank Theatre aims to host productions for the whole family to enjoy. THE PUNCH AND JUDY SHOW introduces Mr Punch and Judy, his wife, as well as their little baby and a colourful cast of characters who feature in this slapstick comedy which will lighten the Easter holidays with laughter. Carlo Penso, a popular children's entertainer known for his puppet, clowning and magic shows, as well as a member of Reach for A Dream's Jabulani Kingdom Hospital entertainers, will present this well-loved show from 4-8 April.

KWAMANZI runs at 20:00 from Wednesdays to Saturdays, with an additional 15:00 show on Saturday afternoons. Tickets cost R150, with a concession price of R75 for students and pensioners over the age of 65 on Thursdays and at Saturday matineés. Tickets for THE PUNCH AND JUDY SHOW cost R30 for children and R60 for adults, with shows starting at 10:00. Bookings for both KWAMANZI and PUNCH AND JUDY are open through Webtickets.
