ANNIE, the new production of the Tony Award-winning musical, went into rehearsal today in New York City with its full company. The production begins previews October 3, 2012 and opens November 8, 2012 at the Palace Theatre (Broadway at 47th Street). Meet the full cast below!

The Boomerang Theatre Company (Tim Errickson, Artistic Director; Sue Abbott, Managing Director) kicked off their 2011 season with an outdoor production of Shakespeare's Much Ado about Nothing, directed by Daniel Talbott and starring Sara Thigpen and Nate Miller. New Georges (Susan Bernfield, Artistic Director; Sarah Cameron Sunde, Associate Director; Jaynie Saunders Tiller, Managing Director), the OBIE Award-winning downtown theater company founded in 1992, will present 'THE GERM PROJECT,' featuring the work of playwrights Kara Lee Corthron (directed by Kara-Lynn Vaeni), Lynn Rosen (directed by Shoshana Gold), Kathryn Walat (directed by Portia Krieger), and Anna Ziegler (directed by Beatrice Terry). The four 'germs' of full-length plays of scope and adventure commissioned by New Georges for this project will be presented together, fully produced, in a cohesive and satisfying ninety-minute intermission-less evening. There will be a connective thread to the pieces that will take place with visuals and storytelling. 'THE GERM PROJECT' will be performed at 3LD Art & Technology Center, 80 Greenwich Street (just south of Rector). Previews will begin on June 11, and the official Opening Night will be Monday, June 20 at 8:00 p.m. Performances will run through July 9.

RED DOG SQUADRON presents the West Coast premiere of greedy by Karl Gajdusek. RED DOG SQUADRON co-artistic director James Roday directs a cast that includes Amanda Detmer, Kurt Fuller, Peter Mackenzie, Ivana Milicevic, Brad Raider and Roday's co-star on the USA series psych, Maggie Lawson. The limited four-week engagement takes place at the El Centro Theatre, January 8-29.

Westport Country Playhouse will stage the joyful and touching musical, 'I Do! I Do!,' starring Tony Award nominee Kate Baldwin and Drama Desk Award nominee Lewis Cleale, August 10 - 28, as part of its 80th Anniversary Season.

New Georges' world premiere production of Wendy Weiner's 'Hillary: A Modern Greek Tragedy With a (Somewhat) Happy Ending,' directed by Julie Kramer will end its run, as scheduled, this Saturday, December 20. Mia Barron and Darren Pettie head up the eight-member cast as Hillary and Bill Clinton. Also featured are: Heidi Armbruster, Victoire Charles, Jorge Cordova, Charlie Hudson, III, Jenny Mercein, and Josie Whittlesey. 'Hillary' will perform its final four performances (Wednesday through Saturday at 8:00 p.m.) at The Living Theater, 21 Clinton Street (between E. Houston and Stanton Streets). North American Cultural Laboratory (www.NACL.org), Brad Krumholz and Tannis Kowalchuk, Co-Artistic Directors, will present the Manhattan premiere of 'THE UNCANNY APPEARANCE OF SHERLOCK HOLMES,' based on a story written by Mr. Krumholz and created by NACL in collaboration with the ensemble. Krumholz also directs. Performances begin on December 2 at HERE Arts Center (www.here.org), 145 Sixth Avenue (between Spring and Broome Streets, enter on Dominick Street), and the show will officially open on Thursday, December 4 at 7:00 p.m. Performances will run through Sunday, December 21.

The 19th Annual Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction was held on Sunday, September 25 in Shubert Alley. The Flea Market raised a grand total of $544,037 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
