Saturday Night Fever Photos - West End

Walnut Street Theatre concludes its landmark 208th season with an exciting musical inspired by the 1977 film that became a cultural phenomenon, SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER. Directed and choreographed by Richard Stafford, this high energy musical begins previews on May 16th, opens on May 24th and runs through July 16th on the WST Mainstage.

Touted as 'the first Filipino-produced musical for the world,' SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER kicks off its new Asian tour in a strictly limited one-month run in Manila playing all weekends at The Theatre in Solaire Resort and Casino from July 3 to 26.

Broadway fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate this year, with dozens of shows having opened since January, hundreds of actors having made their debuts, and many more having returned to the stage for critically acclaimed performances. Not all news was good though, as we also suffered a loss of an incredible amount of talent. Below, BroadwayWorld sends a fond farewell to those who passed away in 2014.

Global movie icon John Travolta, one of Hollywood's biggest and best-loved stars, just got up close and personal on stage in London's West End in A Conversation with John Travolta. Travolta, who was first catapulted to international stardom in the blockbuster Saturday Night Fever, which launched the disco phenomenon in the 1970s, treated the audience to an intimate evening of anecdotes about his illustrious career, private insights from his life as one of the world's most admired screen idols as well as taking part in a special question and answer session with audience members. ANNIE, the new production of the Tony Award-winning musical, went into rehearsal today in New York City with its full company. The production begins previews October 3, 2012 and opens November 8, 2012 at the Palace Theatre (Broadway at 47th Street). Meet the full cast below!

Directed by Jo Bonney, this production features Gordon Clapp, Erin Darke, Jonny Orsini, Devin Ratray, Dennis Staroselsky, Theo Stockman and Claire van der Boom. Limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated April 5 - May 26 at The New Group @ Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). The official Opening Night was Monday, April 30 at 7:00 PM.
