Last night, supporters of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley gathered to hear the 2019 Regional Theatre Tony Award-winning company and its Board of Trustees announce the launch of its 50th Anniversary Campaign, a $5 million fundraising campaign to ensure the future success of the nationally-acclaimed theatre, including commissions for new plays and musicals.
Bay Area Musicals (Matthew McCoy, Founder & Artistic Director, and AeJay Mitchell, Managing Director) has announced the full cast and creative team for the final production of the 2017-2018 season, THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME. Based on the Victor Hugo novel and songs from the Disney animated feature, THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME showcases the film's Academy Award-nominated score, as well as new songs by Tony and Academy Award-winners Alan Menken (LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, THE LITTLE MERMAID, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, ALADDIN, POCAHONTAS) and Stephen Schwartz (GODSPELL, PIPPIN, WICKED, POCAHONTAS). Peter Parnell's new book embraces story theatre and features verbatim passages from Hugo's gothic novel.

Presented by Playhouse Artists, the non-profit organization that supports the growth and sustainability of the Playhouse, Galavant in the Garden was held on Saturday, September 23 and featured a concert by The Midtown Men, four of the original stars of 'Jersey Boys.' Kentwood Players proudly presents THE IMAGINARY INVALID by Moliere, an outrageous satire of medicine and its practitioners, opening Friday, January 13 through Saturday, February 18, 2017 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm at the Westchester Playhouse, located at 8301 Hindry Avenue in Westchester, CA 90045. There will be a champagne and dessert reception between 7:00-7:30pm for season subscribers and members attending the Saturday, January 14 performance. The production is directed by Susan Stangl, who just happens to be a medical doctor adding her unique spin to the production, and produced by Sheridan Cole for Kentwood Players. Featured in the cast in alphabetical order are Harold Dershimer, Mitch Feinstein, Drew Fitzsimmons, Sydney Holliday, Daniel Kruger, Zachary Leonard, Aaron Merken, Lezlie Moore, Michele Selin, Beau Smith, and Jenna Tovey.
The Dio - Dining & Entertainment, Livingston County's professional, award winning dinner theatre, is very excited to present their original musical, Home for the Holidays, directed by Steve DeBruyne with musical direction by Brian Rose and choreography by Michelle Marzejon. 2016 marks the fourth year that Home for the Holidays has been presented in Livingston County.
