Let us entertain you with one of America's most beloved classic musicals! March brings the dazzling stage hit Gypsy to the Maltz Jupiter Theatre's stage. Inspired by the memoirs of the legendary burlesque performer Gypsy Rose Lee, this story follows the dreams and efforts of a powerhouse stage mother to get her two daughters into show business. Grind Arts Company is proud to present CYRANO: A LOVE LETTER TO A FRIENDSHIP, a new play by Sean Peter Drohan, featuring Sean Peter Drohan ('Who WantsTo Be A Millionaire'), Judah Frank (Rock of Ages - Tour, Broadway Bares) and Adam Roberts (Pippin, Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, Broadway Bares)and directed by Eamon Foley (Gypsy, Assassins, Broadway Bares ), as part of the 20th annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC. A re-imagined version of the 1921 musical SHUFFLE ALONG, one of the earliest stage hits starring, written and directed by African-Americans, opened just lastnight, April 28, on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre. The Broadway revival of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF just opened Sunday night, December 20 at The Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway), wrapping up the 2015 Broadway season. BC/EFA just announced this year's GYPSY OF THE YEAR raised an impressive grand total of $4,786,239 after six weeks of fundraising efforts. Since 1989, the 27 editions of GYPSY OF THE YEAR (#GypsyOfTheYear) have raised $67.3 million to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. BroadwayWorld has stunning shots from the show below!

Based on the smash hit 2003 film of the same title, School of Rock: THE MUSICAL, with music from the movie, as well as an original score by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyricist Glenn Slater, a book byJulian Fellowes and direction by Laurence Connor, made its World Premiere on Broadway on Sunday night, December 6, at the Winter Garden Theatre. Tori Murray, the young star of Off-Broadway's smash hit musical RUTHLESS!, recently attended the 17th annual Nickelodeon HALO Awards at Pier 36 in New York City. The HALO Awards honor teens that are making a difference and Justin Bieber was this year's recipient of the first ever HALO Hall of Fame Award for his work with Make-A-Wish. ON YOUR FEET!, the new Broadway musical based on the life story of seven-time GRAMMY winning international superstar Gloria Estefan and her husband, nineteen-time GRAMMY winning producer-musician-entrepreneur Emilio Estefan, opened on Broadway Thursday night, November 5, 2015 at the Marquis Theatre. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the whole evening, starting with the sacred Gypsy Robe ceremony. Just yesterday, Tony Yazbeck was honored at the legendary Sardi's Restaurant with his very own portrait.Yazbeck earned 2015 Tony Award, Drama League Award and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations as well as the 2015 Astaire Award, for his portrayal of 'Gabey' in the hit Broadway revival of ON THE TOWN. His other Broadway credits include Chicago (Billy Flynn), Irving Berlin's White Christmas (Phil Davis), Gypsywith Patti LuPone (Tulsa, Outer Critics Circle nom.), A Chorus Line (Al), Oklahoma!, Never Gonna Dance, and Gypsy with Tyne Daly.

Tinkerbelle the Dog (@Tinkerbellethedog) the recent social media rescue dog visiting the cast of Broadway Shows (American in Paris, It Shoulda Been You) is one step closer to her broadway dream! Fire Island Dance Festival returned for its 21st edition July 17-19, 2015, with some of the most talked-about world-class dance companies, raising a record-breaking $544,555 for Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. BROADWAY GYPSY TEA DANCE recently gathered at the rooftop bar Top of the Strand at the Strand Hotel (33 West 37th Street) to celebrate Chita Rivera's 2015 Tony Award nomination, enlisting dancers from most of Broadway's shows. Those represented included The King & I, Aladdin, Kinky Boots, Something Rotten, Wicked, American in Paris, The Lion King and gypsies who danced with Rivera in her last Broadway show A Dancer's Life. Gypsy opened in the West End last night, Tuesday 15 April 2015 at the Savoy Theatre, London. Directed by Jonathan Kent with book by Arthur Laurents, Gypsy has music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim suggested by the memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee, choreography by Stephen Mear, designs by Anthony Ward, musical direction and orchestration by Nicholas Skilbeck, lighting by Mark Henderson and sound by Paul Groothuis.

Imelda Staunton, who stars as the indomitable Momma Rose in the West End transfer of Jonathan Kent's production of Gypsy, is joined by Lara Pulver and Gemma Sutton who reprise the roles of Louise and June respectively in the five star Chichester Festival Theatre production, while Peter Davison joins the cast to play Herbie.

Broadway finds Main Street! Star of the Day launches an all-new 2015 Broadway Musical Series at McCoole's Arts & Events Place beginning with the popular Gypsy.
