Cabaret Photos - Broadway

It was like opening night all over again, as the Roundabout Theatre Company welcomed Emma Stone in her Broadway debut as 'Sally Bowles' last night on Broadway and we were there to capture her first glamorous curtain call. She joins Joe Masteroff, John Kander and Fred Ebb's Tony-winning musical Cabaret starring Alan Cumming in his Tony Award-winning role as 'Emcee.' The production is again directed by Sam Mendes and co-directed/choreographed by Rob Marshall.

The new production of Cabaret mounted by South Portland's Mad Horse Theatre together with Razer Entertainment, sizzles with tension and sears with emotion. The dark,edgy Kander-Ebb musical presented in this intimate space allows the audience identification in a manner so powerful as to make one feel he is seeing the work for the first time. Following on the heels of the hugely successful Grey Gardens, director-choreographer Raymond Marc (Ray) Dumont and the Mad Horse company have ventured for the second time this summer into musical theatre, and the results are stunning! Not only is it refreshing to hear a musical unmiked, but the fifty-seat black box allows for an experience that is up close, personal, and unsparingly gripping.

Roundabout Theatre Company opened officially on April 24, 2014 at the newly transformed Kit Kat Klub at Studio 54 on Broadway (254 West 54th Street). The revival stars Alan Cumming in his Tony Award-winning role as 'Emcee' and three-time Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams as 'Sally Bowles'. Tickets are now available through January 4, 2015. Alan Cumming has just tweeted that he is feeling better and will be returning to the stage for tonight's preview performance of Cabaret. He tweeted, 'Thanks to my nursemaid, miss Honey, I'm getting back on the @Cabaret_Musical horse tonight. Flu is a total bitch btw.' Check below to see the picture he tweeted with his message.
