Diane Paulus’ (Director) multiple Tony Award winning 2013 Broadway Revival of Stephen Schwartz (Music and Lyrics) and Roger O. Hirson’s (Book) PIPPIN entertains and entrances Sydney audiences thirsty for theatre with a bold blend of song, dance, and circus. 

Music Theatre Wichita continues its 2018 Season with one of the first regional productions of the newly revised Pippin, reflecting the changes composer-lyricist Stephen Schwartz and librettist Roger O. Hirson introduced in the 2013 Broadway revival. Directed and choreographed by Emmy-nominated Al Blackstone ("So You Think You Can Dance"), the lavish production features a 32-member cast in an all-new staging. The fourth of five self-produced musicals in MTWichita's 2018 season, the run continues through July 29. Disney's The Little Mermaid will conclude the season August 8-18.

Sunday, June 18th, marked the end of the Pippin National Tour. After months of performing the magical production came to a close at the Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. While the performers had an a-typical audience they performed with high energy and a renowned ability to treat this famous show-within-a-show as if it truly were their first performance.

This month, PIPPIN, returned to NYC for a sold out run at the Baruch Performing Arts Center in NYC. PIPPIN was produced by the Broadway Workshop and Project Broadway as their 2017 Main Stage production. Scroll down for photos of the cast in action!

The Stephen Schwartz coming-of-age musical that helped put Bob Fosse on the map exploded onto Broadway in 1972. It then had a successful televised version in 1981. With the recent 2013 revival, the theatre world and all who see it are rediscovering this powerful show. It now has a showing through May 2nd with the Theatre Department at Agoura High School.

Pippin brings the circus to Omaha in a kaleidoscope of color.

PIPPIN, the Stephen Schwartz (music and lyrics) and Roger O. Hirson (book) magical show is now on stage at The Palace Theatre. It tells a modern version of the mythical tale of Pippin, the oldest son of King Charlemagne, and his search for purpose and identity.

Legendary restaurant and dessert emporium, Serendipity 3, honors PIPPIN, the winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival, with an ice cream concoction so sensational, it will have you swinging from a trapeze!

On Thursday Evening, October 30th, there was certainly "Magic to Do" backstage at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre. Ben Vereen, the original "Leading Player" in the 1972 Broadway production of PIPPIN, visited with the cast backstage after watching the performance. Ben was reunited with his original "Pippin", actor John Rubinstein ("Charles"), with whom Ben appeared in the original Broadway production helmed by Bob Fosse. The 2013 Tony Award winning Best Revival of a Musical Pippin made its premiere earlier this week at L.A. Premiere at the Hollywood Pantages, where it will play through November 9th. Yesterday, Tony Award winning Best Revival of a Musical PIPPIN welcomed back Andrea Martin, who won 2013 Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for creating the role of 'Berthe' in the production - in celebration, a new portrait of Martin was added to Tony di Napoli's prestigious Broadway Wall of Fame! Yesterday at 88 Madison Avenue, the cast of Pippin celebrated the show's new partnership with Carlton Hotel with a live performance, nail art painting provided by Caravan Stylist Studio and circus-inspired refreshments provided by the Carlton hotel. The Carlton hotel's new PIPPIN the Musical Package will be available starting January, running through March 2014. The package includes overnight luxury accommodations, tickets to PIPPIN, cocktails at restaurant Millesime and a CD soundtrack from the show.
