On the Twentieth Century Photos - Broadway

Earlier this month, the 2015 Tony nominees gathered to meet the press and BroadwayWorld was on hand for the big day. Throughout the month, we will continue our Tonys coverage by bringing you exclusive photos by acclaimed photographer Walter McBride! Below, meet Andy Karl, Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical nominee for On the Twentieth Century.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, PS Classics recorded the cast album of the critically acclaimed Broadway revival of On the Twentieth Century on Monday, March 23, 2015. This new Broadway Cast Recording will be released on May 19, 2015.  The album is currently available for pre-order at the PS Classics website, psclassics.com, and on Amazon.com. On Monday, May 4, Cooper Hewitt Museum celebrated the Roundabout Theatre Company's new Broadway production of On the Twentieth Century with special guest: Cooper Hewitt Trustee David Rockwell (nominated for two 2015 Tony Awards for his scenic designs of 'TWENTIETH CENTURY' and YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU). Roundabout Theatre Company presents the classic musical On the Twentieth Century, which will play a 20-week limited engagement through July 5, 2015 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd Street). On the Twentieth Century is choreographed by Tony winner Warren Carlyle and directed by six-time Tony nominee Scott Ellis, and features music by Cy Coleman, and book & lyrics by Betty ComdenandAdolph Green. On the Twentieth Century is based on plays by Ben Hecht, Charles MacArthur & Bruce Millholland. The original Broadway production was directed by Harold Prince. The company of On the Twentieth Century just celebrated their opening with the Gypsy Robe ritual, at which, the recipient from Honeymoon in Vegas bestowed the honor on Bahiyah Hibah. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the event and brings you full photo coverage below!

Sickness didn't stop the show however, and the company celebrated their opening on the originally planned March 12- last night! Check out photos from the curtain call below!
