On Monday, May 4, Cooper Hewitt Museum celebrated the Roundabout Theatre Company's new Broadway production of ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY with special guest: Cooper Hewitt Trustee David Rockwell (nominated for two 2015 Tony Awards for his scenic designs of 'TWENTIETH CENTURY' and YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU). Scroll down for photos from the event!

Caroline Baumann (Director, Cooper Hewitt), Kurt Andersen (Host of "Studio 360"), Wendy Goodman (Design Editor, New York Magazine), and Margaret Russell (Editor In Chief, Architectural Digest) served as co-hosts.

Roundabout Theatre Company presents the classic musical On the Twentieth Century, starring Tony & Emmy Award winner Chenoweth, Golden Globe & SAG Award winner & Tony nominee Gallagher, Tony nominee Andy Karl, Mark Linn-Baker, Tony winner Michael McGrath and Tony winner MaryLouise Wilson.

On the Twentieth Century is choreographed by Tony winner Warren Carlyle and directed by six-time Tony nominee Scott Ellis, and features music by Cy Coleman and book & lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green. On the Twentieth Century is based on plays by Ben Hecht, Charles MacArthur & Bruce Millholland.

ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY is currently playing a 20-week limited engagement through July 5, 2015. It began previews on February 12, 2015 and officially opened on March 12, 2015 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd Street).

It's nonstop laughs aboard the Twentieth Century, a luxury train traveling from Chicago to New York City. Luck, love and mischief collide when the bankrupt theater producer Oscar Jaffee (Golden Globe winner Peter Gallagher) embarks on a madcap mission to cajole glamorous Hollywood starlet Lily Garland (Emmy and Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth) into playing the lead in his new, non-existent epic drama. But is the train ride long enough to reignite the spark BETWEEN these former lovers, create a play from scratch, and find the money to get it all the way to Broadway?
