THE ANDREWS BROTHERS sung-through musical is sure to please those who remember the 1940s first-hand, or those of us who appreciate the song stylings of those bygone days. And thanks to the talented, triple-threat performers, Kelley Dorney, Michael D'Elia, Max DeLorch and Grant Hodges, no matter what goes wrong, the show must go on!

The head of the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills came to see DREAMGIRLS, produced by Michael Pettenato and directed/choreographed by Tor Campbell at the 180-seat Cupcake Theater in North Hollywood earlier this year, and believed they absolutely could not let the brilliant show end without giving people on the Westside a chance to see it. And who were they to say no? Under Pettenato's care, the group packed up 450 costumes and boxes of wigs, and headed to Beverly Hills for a one-night only show on Thursday, December 6, 2018.

The Theatre Group at SBCC will start the season July 11-28, 2018 in the Garvin Theatre with the musical, GREASE.  Book, lyrics and music by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey.

Last night, The Public Theater celebrated the 50th Anniversary of HAIR, the American tribal love-rock musical that originally opened at The Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Street. After a huge success at the United Solo Theatre Festival in New York City, award-winning actor and director Arthur Elbakyan's "My Insane Shakespeare" continues its journey with its debut in Montreal. "My Insane Shakespeare" premiered December 4th, 2016 at the Theatre Beaubois. Elbakyan presented his play to pay tribute to the renowned Canadian-Armenian sculptor and painter, member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts, Arto Tchakmakchian.

The Museum of the City of New York just presented legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim with its Louis Auchincloss Prize at a gala dinner that included a musical tribute featuring Tony Award winners and nominees. Cabaret! will took place last night, November 19th; it was a rare opportunity to recognize a living legend, and in an intimate setting. Singing Sondheim favorites were some of musical theater's most talented performers, including Gregg Edelman, Harvey Evans, Judy Kaye, Howard McGillin, Victoria Mallory, and Sarah Stiles under the direction of Michael Montel and music director Larry Yurman. Construction work for the visionary venue within Hamburg's Grossmarkt will start in the west part of the middle hall in September 2013. Work is expected to be finished by late 2014 / early 2015. Mehr! Entertainment Group, which currently runs seven venues in Germany, will expand its portfolio by a most prominent location within the cultural metropolis of Hamburg. The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team for the West Coast Premiere of Dividing the Estate, the final play by Pulitzer Prize winner Horton Foote. Directed by Michael Wilson, Dividing the Estate will run Jan. 14 - Feb. 12, 2012 in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.

Rupert Goold directs Michael Gambon, David Bradley, David Walliams and Nick Dunning in Harold Pinter's No Man's Land, at the Duke of York's Theatre. The production is currently booking until 3 January 2009. A Gate Theatre, Dublin production, No Man's Land is presented by Sonia Friedman Productions and Michael Colgan, with design by Giles Cadle, lighting by Neil Austin and sound and music by Adam Cork. Goold's production transfers to London following its opening at the Gate Theatre, Dublin in August.

The Broadway Workshop, Manhattan's fastest growing acting program for young artists, teamed up with Golden Globe nominated TV and movie star Nikki Blonsky, for its one day 'Hairspray' musical workshop. THE HAIRSPRAY WORKSHOP, took place on November 1, 2008 in New York City. This Workshop gave students the opportunity to work on every area of musical theater performance.
