Westport Country Playhouse will stage the world premiere previews of A. R. Gurney's 'Love and Money,' a new comedy exploring the trials of class, family, legacy, and race, directed by Mark Lamos, from July 21 through August 8. A co-production with New York's Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre, it will officially open there in late August.

Just last night, beloved stage and screen star Debra Monk celebrated her 65th birthday in a free-wheeling rock 'n' roll concert produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Debra Monk Birthday Bash (#debrabday) featured the Tony Award winner and some of her most talented friends rollicking through a collection of their favorite rock and pop hits. Among those were two-time Tony nominee Charlotte D'Amboise, Tony nominee Brandon Victor Dixon, six-time Tony nominee Scott Ellis, four-time Tony nominee and six-time Emmy nominee Victor Garber, two-time Tony and Emmy Award winner Andrea Martin and Tony and Emmy nominee Ron Rifkin. Actor and singer Jeff Daniels will perform in concert at 54 below continuing tonight, January 3 and 4 at 8PM and 11PM. You know Daniels from his Tony Award-nominated performances in shows like God of Carnage, from his Academy Award-nominated performances in movies like The Squid and The Whale ... and for starring as anchorman Will McAvoy in Aaron Sorkin's HBO series, The Newsroom. You may recall his years on and off Broadway in plays like Lanford Wilson's 5th of July and Redwood Curtain. The passionate modern classic, 'Burn This' by Pulitzer Prize-winner Lanford Wilson, has now begun rehearsals under the direction of Nicholas Martin. Previews for 'Burn This' at the Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum are March 23 - May 1, 2011, with opening set for April 3. The cast includes, in alphabetical order, Brooks Ashmanskas, Ken Barnett, Zabryna Guevara and Adam Rothenberg.

The Broadway production of Yasmina Reza's GOD OF CARNAGE opens on Sunday, March 22. The play, directed by Matthew Warchus began previews on Saturday, February 28 at the Bernard Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45 Street). Jeff Daniels, Hope Davis, James Gandolfini and Marcia Gay Harden star in GOD OF CARNAGE, the new play by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton, directed by Matthew Warchus.
