Raven's revival of this later play by Tennessee Williams that was 'rediscovered' in acclaimed productions in London and New York is autobiographical play that Williams first began writing around the time he started The Glass Menagerie. It concerns a young writer who in 1938 moves to a ramshackle French Quarter rooming house that's home to an assortment of desperate and eccentric characters. The New York Times said Vieux Carre is, along with The Glass Menagerie, Williams' other autobiographical memory play, one of two 'critical bookends' to Williams' career. The Lakewood Playhouse will present the third show of its 75th ANNIVERSARY SEASON: 'WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?' by Edward Albee. Off-Broadway's award-winning Irish Repertory Theatre launches its 26th season with a revival of Sean O'Casey's JUNO AND THE PAYCOCK, directed by Irish Rep Artistic Director Charlotte Moore. With a cast that features, among others, J. Smith-Cameron as Juno Boyle, Ciaran O'Reilly as 'Captain' Jack Boyle, and John Keating as Joxer Daly, JUNO AND THE PAYCOCK opens on Sunday, October 20th on the Francis J. Westport Country Playhouse stages the madcap American comedy, 'Room Service,' about a producer and his ragtag bunch of cohorts who try to raise money for a Broadway show as they scramble to evade their hotel bill, written by John Murray and Allen Boretz, directed by Mark Lamos, now through October 27. The Austin Shakespeare Theatre Company presents the New York premiere of Ayn Rand's novel ANTHEM, adapted for the stage by composer Jeff Britting, curator of the Ayn Rand Archives. Previews for ANTHEM began September 25 at the Jerome Robbins Theater at the Baryshnikov Arts Center (450 W. 37th Street). Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece, Our Town, is to get its official 75th anniversary UK production - its first major London revival in a generation - at the King's Head Theatre from Wednesday 26 June - Saturday 20 July.

The Old Globe's 100th anniversary production of the George Bernard Shaw classic Pygmalion stars Tony Award winner Robert Sean Leonard (The Invention of Love, Born Yesterday) as Professor Henry Higgins and Charlotte Parry (The Importance of Being Earnest, The Real Thing) as Eliza Doolittle. The production coincides with the 100th anniversary of Pygmalion's 1913 premiere in Vienna, Austria. Directed by Nicholas Martin (Butley, Present Laughter), Pygmalion will run on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, through Feb. 17, 2013. The award-winning Peccadillo Theater Company will present the New York premiere of TEN CHIMNEYS, a new comedy by Jeffrey Hatcher, starring Byron Jennings as Alfred Lunt, Carolyn McCormick as Lynn Fontanne, Michael McCarty as Sydney Greenstreet, and Lucy Martin as Lunt's mother Hattie. Performances began on September 21st and Opening Night is set for Wednesday, October 3rd at Theatre at St. Clement's, 423 West 46th Street (between Ninth & Tenth Aves.)
