In 2016, first time nominee Alex Brightman, a nominee this year for his work in Beetlejuice, invited us all to join the band with his face-melting performance in School of Rock.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's smash hit School of Rock - The Musical played its final performance on Broadway on Sunday evening, January 20, 2019 by welcoming back dozens of former young cast members to the Winter Garden Theatre stage for one last epic jam session.

On this day in 2016, the first Broadway revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats opened at the Neil Simon Theater!

Andrew Lloyd Webber's smash hit musical School of Rock The Musical will celebrate two years on Broadway, on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. The musical began preview performances at the Winter Garden Theatre (1654 Broadway) on November 9, 2015 and officially opened, to rave reviews, on December 6, 2015.

For a third time since its West End premiere, Andrew Lloyd Webber's Olivier award-winning production of School of Rock - The Musical recently announced a further booking extension with tickets now available to 14 January 2018. Check out a rockin' new trailer for the show below!

Sierra Boggess is best known world-wide for re-inventing the role of Christine in The Phantom of the Opera. Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber calls her 'the best Christine certainly.' She played the role in the Broadway, West End, and the televised 25th Anniversary concert productions of Phantom filmed at London's Royal Albert Hall (available on DVD). During a performance with the Princeton Symphony Orchestra, Boggess performed Pense a Moi, Think of Me, from the French production. Check out the video below!

At Gypsy of the Year 2016, cast members from The Lion King performed a moving spoken-word piece giving voice to those marginalized by the current political climate performed by cast members Lamar Baylor, Kimberly Marable, Matthew Morgan, Brenda O'Brien and L. Steven Taylor. 

The Curran today released a music video of the song 'Ring of Keys,' from the Tony Award-winning musical Fun Home, which will re-open the Curran this January after an extensive renovation that is currently underway (and pictured in scenes from the video). The song, written by Tony Award-winners Lisa Kron and Jeanine Tesori, and performed by students from Oakland School for the Arts (OSA), is in celebration and support of GLAAD and 'Spirit Day' on October 20, 2016, a day that encourages all to take a stand against bullying of LGBTQ youth and wear purple. The seven-part webisode series follows the West End cast of School of Rock - The Musical as they get ready to begin performances at the New London Theatre on 24 October 2016. In episode one, join Jo Whiley as she hosts the West End launch for School of Rock - The Musical. This episode sees the cast begin their journey performing in the spotlight in front of a live audience for the very first time. See the kids rock out at a jamming session with their future substitute teacher Mr Dewey Finn (David Fynn).

The legendary composer now has two of his classics and his newest hit running on Broadway.

The hardest rocking band on Broadway is also the youngest.

Award-winning non-for-profit Broadway Sings for Pride (www.BroadwaySingsForPride.com) held their 6th annual PRIDE benefit concert on Monday, June 20, 2016. To start the night, Daniel Quadrino, from Broadway's Wicked and Newsies, sang 'Imagine' to reflect on the tragedy that happened in Orlando. He was joined onstage by members of the New York community, to echo the sentiment that New York stands behind Orlando and that art can be used to inspire and change minds.
