It seems Waitress the Musical is *expecting* some pretty exciting news soon. Composer Sara Bareilles released a new Twitter video tonight to let fans in on some exciting Waitress news that's coming our way this Thursday!

Following the lead of many other Broadway musicals such as Come From Away, Dear Evan Hansen, and Great Comet, the cast of Waitress is willing to bake for it as they take on the #Ham4All challenge from the cast of Groundhog Day!

Sugar, butter, 500! The cast of Waitress celebrated 500 performances during last night's curtain call, complete with balloons. Company members who have been a part of all 500 performances were also recognized, including Dakin Matthews, Eric Anderson, Chris Fitzgerald, Molly Hager, Jeremy Morse, and Max Kumangai.

Cast members from Waitress served up sweet slices of song at Broadway Sessions recently. Alicia Keys, Sondheim and of course, Bareilles were on the menu. Cast members Charity Angel Dawson, Henry Gottfried, Thay Flood, Aisha Jackson, Ryan Vasquez and Olivia Lucy Phillip poured their hearts out in song and even explored some of the audience's most nightmarish real life 'waitress experiences' (with dramatic underscoring by musical genius Joshua Stephen Kartes). Five months into its Broadway run and WAITRESS is still going strong, selling out the pie-scented Brooks Atkinson Theatre on a nightly basis. Grammy-nominated composer/lyricist Sara Bareilles, who made her Broadway debut last season with her Tony-nominated score for the hit musical WAITRESS, hosted a sampler of songs from the show at Manhattan's Upper East Side Barnes & Noble at yesterday's CD signing event.

Jenna Ushkowitz made her Broadway debut as a child in the 1996 revival of THE KING AND I and came back as a swing in the original production of SPRING AWAKENING.

The best of Broadway will be performing FREE on six consecutive Thursdays this summer with '106.7 LITE FM's Broadway in Bryant Park 2016, continuing this Thursday, July 28 (12:30pm) on the Bryant Park Stage. Hosted by LITE FM's on-air personalities, the 16th annual presentation of open-air, On- and Off- Broadway lunch hour performances will run through Thursday, August 11. This year's 106.7 LITE FM'S Broadway in Bryant Park is presented by New York-Presbyterian for Kids and TKTS Discount Ticketing Booth.
