Five months into its Broadway run and WAITRESS is still going strong, selling out the pie-scented Brooks Atkinson Theatre on a nightly basis. Audiences have made their love for the show known, but they're not the the only ones who remain in awe of Sara Bareilles' first musical. Below, Jessie Mueller, Drew Gehling and Jenna Ushkowitz are updating us on life backstage at WAITRESS.

Waitress tells the story of Jenna (Jessie Mueller), an expert pie maker in a small town, who dreams of a way out of her loveless marriage. A baking contest in a nearby county and the town's new doctor (Drew Gehling) may offer her a chance at a new life, while her fellow Waitresses (Jenna Ushkowitz and Keala Settle) offer their own recipes to happiness. But Jenna must find the courage and strength within herself to rebuild her life. This new American musical celebrates friendship, motherhood, and the magic of a well-made pie.
