Emmy Award winner Holland Taylor received a commendation by Texas Governor Rick Perry making her an honorary Texan on January 10, 2013, for her play Ann about late Texas governor Ann Richards. Ann, a new play written and performed by Emmy Award-winning actress Holland Taylor, begins previews on Broadway at Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street) today, Monday, February 18, 2013 at 8pm, and will open Thursday, March 7, 2013. BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge got a chance to meet with Taylor before she began rehearsals, and the two chatted about the woman on which the play is based, writing a one-man show, her previous stage and screen credits and more. Anne Hathaway stopped by the 'Tonight Show with Jay Leno' last night and gushed about her mom, actress Kate McCauley Hathaway, who is currently one of the producer's behind the new Broadway production ANN, starring Holland Taylor.
