On Sunday night at the 76th Annual Tony Awards, Beowulf Boritt took home a Tony Award for 'Best Scenic Design of a Musical' for his outstanding work on New York, New York (currently running at the St. James Theatre). After leaving the stage at the United Palace, Beowulf checked it with BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge to share his initial reaction!

All the Way, the new play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan, starring BREAKING BAD's Bryan Cranston, is currently in previews on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theatre. The production officially opens on Thursday, March 6, 2014 for a strictly limited engagement. The play is directed by Bill Rauch, Artistic Director of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, where All the Way began its theatrical life. Happy Birthday, Liev Screiber! Schreiber's performance as Ricky Roma in the 2005 Broadway revival of David Mamet's "Glengarry Glen Ross", directed by Joe Mantello, earned him his first Tony Award. He was again a Tony nominee for his portrayal of Barry Champlain in the 2007 Broadway revival of Eric Bogosian's "Talk Radio", directed by Robert Falls, Other stage work includes The Public Theater's Shakespeare in the Park production of "Macbeth", in the lead role opposite Jennifer Ehle, directed by Moises Kaufman; "Iago"; "Hamlet"; "Henry the V"; and "Cymbeline".

Today in 1962, Tony winner Ralph Fiennes was born. Fiennes' 2006 performance in the play Faith Healer gained him a nomination for a 2007 Tony Award. In 2008, Fiennes worked with frequent collaborator director Jonathan Kent to play the title role in Sophocles's Oedipus the King at The National Theatre in London. He has appeared in films such as The English Patient, In Bruges, The Constant Gardener, Strange Days and Maid in Manhattan.

Following a London West End run in December 2007, a sold-out limited engagement at the Brooklyn Academy Of Music in March 2008, and a subsequent eight-week run on Broadway, director Rupert Goold's gripping stage production of Macbeth was filmed for television at the end of 2009.The co-production between WNET.ORG and Illuminations Television, in association with the BBC, stars Sir Patrick Stewart in his triumphant, Tony-nominated performance as the ambitious general, and Tony-nominated Kate Fleetwood as his coldly scheming wife.

Film and stage actor Jude Law played host on 'Saturday Night Live' on Saturday, March 13, where he performed the opening monologue, and a sketch later on in the show, referencing his recent stint on Broadway in 'Hamlet'.
