Ruthless! - Off-Broadway Creative Team

MARVIN LAIRD is the composer of the award-winning Off-Broadway musical, Ruthless!. His collaboration with Joel Paley, the author/lyricist of that show, has been ongoing for 25 years. Their most recent piece, The Yiddish are Coming…! The Yiddish are Coming…! is currently playing regionally throughout North America. Since the 1960s, he has conducted and/or written dance and vocal arrangements for over two dozen Broadway and West End shows, including the award-winning production of Annie Get Your Gun, and the most recent Broadway revival of Gypsy, both starring Bernadette Peters. Favorite productions include: Coastal Disturbance; The Weir; Collected Stories (with Ms. Uta Hagen); The Green Heart; Three Mo' Tenors; Limonade Tous les Jours;and most recently, Academy forthe Daegu International Arts Festival. Gregory Fletcher is a graduate of California State University at Northridge with a BA in Theater, of Boston University with a MA in Playwriting, and of Columbia University with an MFA in Directing. He works as a freelance AEA stage-manager, playwright, author, and director. As a stage manager, he has worked on over a dozen Off-Broadway productions, a half-dozen regional theater productions, and the national tour of Edward Albee's Three Tall Women. As a director, he's directed over a dozen Off-Off-Broadway productions, plus several university productions. Some of his Broadway work includes Pretty Woman, Mean Girls, War Paint, Tuck Everlasting, On Your Feet, If/Then, Kinky Boots, Pippin, Cinderella, Hairspray, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Legally Blonde, The Coast of Utopia-Shipwrecked, and Wicked. He is the recipient of the Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics’ Circle and OBIE Awards. Jeffrey has produced more than 50 shows on and off Broadway and has done press for more than 200 productions.
