William Finn began his New York career as a script reader for the Public Theater and as a writer of music and songs for theater. In 1977, he contributed music and songs to Benny Leonard and the Brooklyn Bridge at The Open Space in SoHo. He developed his first musical, In Trousers, which was presented at Playwrights Horizons in 1978, with Finn directing and originally playing Marvin. The musical was remounted in 1979, 1981 and 1985, with Finn writing the book, music and lyrics.

Lapine is an American stage director, playwright, screenwriter, and librettist. He has won the Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical three times, for Into the Woods, Falsettos, and Passion. He has frequently collaborated with Stephen Sondheim and William Finn.

Frances Elaine Lee was a well-known award-winning production and costume designer for theatre, TV, and Film. In the past decade, she has also gained a reputation as an artist.
Franne Lee’s professional design career started in the theatre in New York, with Andre Gregory’s “Alice in Wonderland,” for which she received an Obie Award for costumes. Her many Broadway shows include Hal Prince’s productions of “Candide” (Tony Awards for Set and Costume Design) and “Sweeney Todd" (Tony Award for Costume Design).
