He has been awarded the Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics' Circle, Lucille Lortel, Obie, and Callaway Awards for his productions. Robert LuPone is a seasoned actor with over four decades of experience in the entertainment industry. Born on July 29, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York, LuPone grew up with a passion for the arts. He attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where he honed his acting skills and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in drama. LuPone's Broadway career began in 1975 when he appeared in the original production of "A Chorus Line." He played the role of Zach, the demanding director who puts the dancers through their paces.
