Randall Arney joined the Steppenwolf Theatre Company ensemble in 1984 and served as artistic director from 1987-1995. Joan Stein is a producer and theatre executive known for her work on Broadway and Off-Broadway. She was born in Brooklyn, New York and attended Brooklyn College, where she studied English and theatre.
Stein began her career in the theatre industry as a stage manager for the off-Broadway production of "The Fantasticks" in 1960. She went on to work with the New York Shakespeare Festival, where she served as the production stage manager for the original production of "Hair" in 1967.
