Christopher Plummer made his professional acting debut with Ottawa’s Stage Society in The Rivals (1948). He worked with the Montreal Repertory Theatre in the early 1950s and made his Broadway debut in The Starcross Story (1953), followed by Home Is the Hero (1954), The Dark Is Light Enough (1955), and The Lark (1955).
