Swedish Grammy Award winning musician, songwriter and producer OLSSON is dropping “Pink Rambler” today – the first new song from his forthcoming sophomore LP TROPICAL COLOGNE that's due out April 26th via Universal Sweden.  The new LP follows OLSSON's debut LP MILLIONS which was released in 2017 to raves from Rolling Stone, Noisey and Beats 1 Radio's Zane Lowe.  When asked about “Pink Rambler” OLSSON added, “It's about discovering new hope. And I'm even wishing to see my mom slow-dance to it.”

Music Director Leon Botstein leads The Orchestra Now (T N) in a special all-Rathaus concert as part of the Karol Rathaus Festival organized by the Aaron Copland School of Music, in honor of Queens College's first professor of composition. Including public lectures, master classes, and a chamber music concert, the Festival culminates with its only orchestral performance, given by T N on February 24, 2019.

Lantern Theater Company concludes its record-smashing 2017/18 season with the regional premiere of Don't Dress for Dinner by French playwright Marc Camoletti. Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) Artistic Director Bill Rauch announced the Festival's 2019 playbill today. The season, which will be Rauch's last at the artistic helm, celebrates Shakespeare, classics and new plays, including two American Revolutions commissions and a pilot Community Visit Project that will take a bilingual Play on! translation into community venues throughout the region.

Written in 1941, Bertolt Brecht's compelling parable The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui is a savage satire of social and political corruption.

Trap Door Theatre will present The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, written by Bertolt Brecht and translated by George Tabori and Alistair Beaton. Directed by Victor Quezada-Perez, the production will run March 16 - April 22, 2017.

Following the critically acclaimed opening of the UK premiere of the hit Off Broadway musical Adding Machine: A Musical, composed by Joshua Schmidt, with libretto by Jason Loewith and Joshua Schmidt, and based on the classic play by Elmer Rice, two further matinee performances have been added to the sell-out run - on 12 and 19 November at 3pm. Josh Seymour directs Joseph Alessi (Mr Zero), Kate Milner-Evans (Mrs Zero), Joanna Kirkland (Daisy Dorothea Devore) and Edd Campbell Bird (Shrdlu), with James Dinsmore (Mr One and as cast), Helen Walsh (Mrs One and as cast), George Rae (Mr Two and as cast), and Sue Appleby (Mrs Two and as cast).

Opening October 19, 2016, the exhibition Max Beckmann in New York at The Metropolitan Museum of Art will put a spotlight on the artist's special connection with New York City. It will feature 14 paintings that Beckmann created while living in New York from 1949 to 1950, as well as 25 works, dating from 1920 to 1948, from New York collections. The exhibition assembles several groups of iconic works, including self-portraits; mythical, expressionist interiors; robust, colorful portraits of women and performers; landscapes; and triptychs.
