Director Laureen Pickle with her creative crew has pulled off an incredible piece of theatre with all the heart and soul of a big Broadway production. You need to see it to believe it.

In “Mrs. Warren’s Profession,” playwright George Bernard Shaw tells the provocative story of a former prostitute turned madam who struggles to find peace with her disapproving daughter and prove that working as a prostitute is not the result of questionable morals, but rather a profession chosen out of economic necessity.

History Fort Lauderdale will present “Visions of Women,” its first ever fine art exhibition from the National League of American Pen Women Fort Lauderdale Branch (NLAPW). Funny Girl gets a Brazilian production directed by Barchilon, starring Giulia Nadruz and Eriberto Leao as protagonists. With score by J. Styne, and lyrics by B. Merrill, the semi-biographical plot is based on the life and career of comedian and Broadway star Fanny Brice, featuring her stormy relationship with entrepreneur and gambler Nick Arnstein.

Battery Dance will celebrates the 42nd Anniversary of its free summer festival from August 12-18, 2023, in partnership with Battery Park City Authority. Juilliard Drama announces fully staged productions showcasing Juilliard's Group 49 acting students in their fourth and final year in the program. Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL) today announced additional details of its 2018-2019 season-the Orchestra's 44th-including its signature Chamber Music Series, Music in Color, and Free School Concerts celebrating the Jerome Robbins centenary. The previously announced 32nd-annual subscription series presented by Carnegie Hall opening on October 25 will mark the official start of Bernard Labadie's tenure as Principal Conductor of the Orchestra. The series will feature a season-long focus on Haydn, a specialty of both the conductor and the Orchestra.

The cast for Playhouse on Park's production of Intimate Apparel, written by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage, has been announced. Opening night is Friday, February 16 with a complimentary wine and cheese reception at 7pm, followed by the show at 8pm.

Yonder Window Theatre Company and Parity Productions have announced that writer/performer Romy Nordlinger's Places is among the selected performances for this year's East to Edinburgh at 59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director). Places will play 6 performances in July before traveling to Edinburgh, Scotland for the 2017 Fringe Festival where it will have 25 performances over the month of August (4th - 27th).
