 Insight Theatre Company has more than just an anniversary to celebrate in 2017...their 10th Season kicks off as one of the .ZACK's resident arts organizations.  Their move from Webster Groves' Nerinx Hall to becoming part of the Kranzberg Arts Foundation family in the burgeoning Grand Center Theatre District is the perfect kick-off to this milestone year.  'We are so excited and thrilled to have been selected by the Kranzberg Arts Foundation as a resident company at the .ZACK," states Maggie Ryan, Insight's Artistic Director.  "As an arts incubator, the .ZACK will give us a great opportunity to collaborate with other arts organizations and continue to build and strengthen our dedication to artistic arts excellence.'

The Brown/Trinity Rep MFA Programs continue their season with Our Country's Good, by Timberlake Wertenbaker, a captivating exploration of the purpose of art and the resilience of the human spirit. Our Country's Good, under the direction of Ashley Teague ('17), runs Feb. 23 - March 11, 2017.

Part of their Retrospective Series leading up to their 100th anniversary in 2017/18, the Alumnae Theatre Company is proud to present British dramatist Sarah Daniels' THE GUT GIRLS. Surprisingly funny and hard-hitting, this beautifully written piece follows the fortunes of the proud and brash working-class gut girls. When the gutting sheds are shut and their way of life disappears, the girls must try and find a place in the new world order of late Victorian London. Commissioned to write a play that would appeal to unionized workers during the Thatcher era, Daniels' THE GUT GIRLS explores issues of women's and workers' rights, the burden of social expectations, and the struggle for self-worth.

It's a great way to witness first-hand the trappings of the pretend, magical worlds brought to us on celluloid, television, and the live stage. But when you see those famous outfits, hanging stiffly on mannequins, you get the sense something is missing. It's as if they were embalmed mummies from ancient Egypt, beautiful but lifeless. That's what makes a show like Hollywood Revisited, which played Sunday afternoon at the Oxnard Civic Auditorium, so valuable and different as a unique piece of show business entertainment.

Lipuma, announces a one-week extension to Company, featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by George Furth. The production is directed by William Brown. Company features original orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick, Orchestral Reductions by Ian Weinberger, music direction by Tom Vendafreddo and choreography by Brock Clawson. The Boston Modern Orchestra Project (BMOP), the 2016 Musical America Ensemble of the Year, ends its 20th anniversary season with the Boston premiere of David Del Tredici's complete Child Alice (1981) featuring the acclaimed soprano Courtenay Budd. Based on poems prefacing Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking Glass and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, this 135-minute evening-length work changed the course of 20th century music.
