Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) Artistic Director Terrence Mann and Executive Producer Matthew J. Pugliese are pleased to announce the lineup for the 2017 Nutmeg Summer Series. The first season under the artistic leadership of Mann will include '1776', 'Noises Off' and 'Disney's Newsies'. The Nutmeg Summer Series will run June 1 through July 16. Subscriptions are now on sale for 2017.

Christopher Gattelli, the Tony-winning choreographer, is practically jumping with joy over the success of ''Disney's Newsies: The Broadway Musical!'' and its giant leap to the big screen. Its three-day screenings (Feb. 16, 18 and 22) broke records to become the highest-grossing Broadway event from Fathom Events. And now ''Disney's Newsies'' will return for an encore showing on Saturday, March 4, at 12:55 p.m.

 This summer, Theater at Monmouth encourages you to "Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none" (All's Well That Ends Well). The plays of Season 48 explore the role of power, passion, and privilege in families, friendships, society, and politics. Through classic Shakespearean thrillers, contemporary romances, and fantastical flights of fantasy, the dynamics of gender, race, and society take center stage in 2017. 

The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra and Music Director Larry Rachleff welcome acclaimed pianist Robert Levin for a return engagement at The VETS. Levin is joined by his wife, renowned pianist Ya-Fei Chuang, and the Orchestra for Poulenc's Concerto for Two Pianos.

Ten years after their critically acclaimed collaboration on King Lear, Artistic Director Robert Falls and stage and screen star Stacy Keach-both 2015 Theater Hall of Fame inductees-reunite for the world premiere of Pamplona by Jim McGrath.

Audiences have a final chance to 'Seize the Day!' - tickets are now available for Disney's Newsies: The Broadway Musical!, playing in U.S. movie theaters for three days only on Thursday, February 16 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday February 18 at 12:55 p.m. and Wednesday, February 22 at 7:00 p.m. (all local times). Captured live at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre earlier this year, the event reunites original cast members Jeremy Jordan, Kara Lindsay, Ben Fankhauser, Andrew Keenan-Bolger.  To ring in the New Year, on January 1 National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) will present 'Light Up The Night,' a concert of rediscovered and restored pre- and post-WWII music from the theatrical works of the great composers of the Golden Age of Yiddish Theater.  These include Ellstein, Goldfaden, Olshanetsky, Rumshinsky and Secunda.  All are leading songwriters from the era of 'The Golden Bride,' which was presented by Folksbiene Theatre in 2015 and 2016.  The cast will feature performers who were acclaimed in that production, backed by a 16-piece orchestra.  The production is in Yiddish with projected supertitles.  The full concert will be offered twice, at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM, in Edmond J. Safra Hall at Museum of Jewish Heritage, 36 Battery Place.
