The 5th Avenue Theatre is bringing the wide open plains to Seattle this February with a reimagining of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma!

Mark Brokaw will direct the new, first-ever Broadway-bound production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's CINDERELLA, it has been announced by Robyn Goodman, who will produce the musical along with Aged in Wood Productions.

In 1985, three former teen idols-all from the same Philadelphia neighborhood-teamed for a concert titled The Golden Boys, which not only satisfied fans from their teen era by performing their hits, but illustrated that good singing and stage presence never go out of style. Frankie Avalon, Fabian & Bobby Rydell, "The Golden Boys" from American Bandstand's heyday, have appeared together on such major TV specials as "The American Music Awards," the closing ceremonies of the "Miss Liberty Special" (viewed by over 200 million people) and the ABC Inaugural special "Command Performance: An All-Star Salute To The President."

A new production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's CINDERELLA -- with music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, a new book by Douglas Carter Beane and original book by Oscar Hammerstein II -- is aiming for an opening next season on Broadway following a workshop production in April 2012, it has been announced by producer Robyn Goodman, who will produce the musical along with Aged in Wood Productions.

To those who've seen the Oscar-winning screen adaptation of WEST SIDE STORY, the recollections of George Chakiris' performance as Bernardo remain vivid. His acting is top notch, his singing is superb and his dancing comes darn close to burning up the celluloid it is preserved on. He was awarded an Oscar as 'Best Supporting Actor' for his work on that film and now, fifty years later, he is about to imprint his handprints and signature outside of the famed Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood. An all-star cast of Seattle celebrities will waltz onto the stage of The 5th Avenue Theatre in a holiday ball audiences will never forget: Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella. Under the direction of Seattle's own Brandon Ivie, this enchanting fairy tale features Jennifer Paz of Miss Saigon as Cinderella and Wicked star Kendra Kassebaum as the Fairy Godmother, as well as local luminaries Suzanne Bouchard, Nick Garrison, Sarah Rudinoff, Brandon O'Neill, Cynthia Jones, Allen Fitzpatrick, and Greg McCormick Allen.
