The Irish play that led to riots in the streets of Dublin when it debuted 103 years ago and became a comic masterpiece, The Playboy of the Western World, opens the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival's 19th season. With previews June 16 and 17, the play opens June 18 in the Schubert Theatre and continues through July 3.

Audiences will have the opportunity to see some of Europe's leading ballet dancers in this June when Nina Ananiashvili and the State Ballet of Georgia perform at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, June 23-27. Joining the acclaimed company for this engagement is Sebastian Kloborg, a soloist with the Royal Danish Ballet who has a deep family connection to Jacob's Pillow.

A Red Orchid Theatre Artistic Director Kirsten Fitzgerald announces the extension of Mike Leigh's Abigail's Party, directed by Shade Murray and featuring A Red Orchid Ensemble Members Kirsten Fitzgerald, Danny McCarthy, Mierka Girten and Larry Grimm, with Natalie West.
