To honor veterans of wars both recent and past and to promote a spirit healing and recovery, NoPassport theatre alliance and press presents a series of free readings in collaboration with multiple venues across the US throughout the month of November. Spark is a play about three sisters living in the US and caught in the mess of a recent war's aftermath. It is about what happens when soldiers come home and when women of little economic means must find a way to make do and carry on. It is also about the strength of family. Spark is many things, but ultimately it is a contemporary story of faith, love, trauma, and healing.

Producers of THE ADDAMS FAMILY announced additional dates today for the Fall 2012 leg of the musical's North American tour. The production will play Dallas (Oct. 2 - 21), Seattle (Oct. 24 - Nov. 11), Salt Lake City (Nov. 13 - 18), Las Vegas (Nov.20 - 25), Tempe (Dec. 11 - 16) and Costa Mesa (Dec. 18 - 30). Plus, Curtis Holbrook (West Side Story, Xanadu) will join the cast of the national tour as "Lucas Beineke."

Composers Anthony Cheung and Franck Krawczyk will join Peter Eotvos in sharing The Marie-Josee Kravis Prize for New Music at the New York Philharmonic at the request of inaugural recipient Henri Dutilleux, it was announced this evening from the stage in Avery Fisher Hall during a special concert dedicated to Dutilleux's music.

As BroadwayWorld reported earlier this week, David Mamet's 1984 play Glengarry Glen Ross is heading back to Broadway, this time starring Al Pacino as leading man, 'Shelly "The Machine" Levene.' Pacino previously played 'Richard Roma' the the 1992 film adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play. Daniel Sullivan is attached to direct the project. The New York Times has confirmed that the show will begin previews on October 16 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater. Opening night is set for November 11.

Directed by Nancy Rhodes, this salute to Stein's work through American opera is a fresh examination of the influence Stein has had throughout the arts.

The Pasadena Playhouse (Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director) announces the full cast and creative team for THE HEIRESS at The Pasadena Playhouse. The production will star Richard Chamberlain in the role of "Dr. Austin Sloper," Heather Tom as his daughter "Catherine Sloper" and Julia Duffy as Dr. Sloper's sister "Lavinia Penniman."
