As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the Tony Awards® Administration Committee has announced that Rosie O'Donnell will receive the 2014 Isabelle Stevenson Award. This award will be presented at the 2014 Tony Awardson Sunday, June 8th. The 2014 Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. The Isabelle Stevenson Award is presented annually to a member of the theatre community who has made a substantial contribution of volunteered time and effort on behalf of one or more humanitarian, social service or charitable organizations. This just in! New York City Center's acclaimed Encores! Off-Center series, under the artistic direction of Jeanine Tesori, will return this summer for a second season of landmark Off-Broadway musicals. The season opens with Jonathan Larson's tick, tick… BOOM!, June 25 - 28, starring Lin-Manuel Miranda and Karen Olivo, directed by Oliver Butler, and continues with a one-night only performance of Randy Newman'sFaust: The Concert, with Randy Newman as the Devil, directed by Thomas Kail, on July 1. Pump Boys and Dinettes, withbook, music and lyrics by John Foley, Mark Hardwick, Debra Monk, Cass Morgan, John Schimmel and Jim Wann , directed by Lear deBessonet and choreographed by Danny Mefford, wraps up the season, running July 16 - 19. The Children's Theatre at Way Off Broadway has been a part of The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre, a leader in the region's theater community and one of the area's premiere entertainment venues, since 1996 when it opened with an original production of Sleep Beauty. That was the beginning of what would become one of the most popular family entertainment spots in Frederick. To this day, the Children's Theatre at Way Off Broadway is the area's only children's lunch theater, offering a family-friendly meal before each show.

The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre launched its Children Theatre in 1996. Since then, no show has ever been as popular as the smash hit Pinkalicious - The Musical. When the fun, family friendly first appeared on the Children's Theatre stage, it was to open the 2012 Season. The production quickly sold out. When the run was briefly expanded, those performances also sold out. Beginning tonight, September 14, Pinkalicious will return to the Children's Theatre at Way Off Broadway, back by overwhelming demand!

As BroadwayWorld previously announced, a new musical inspired by the work of Tupac Shakur, titled HOLLER IF YA HEAR ME, is on its way to Broadway. Directed by Kenny Leon (A Raisin in the Sun [2004], Fences [2010] The Mountaintop), the project is planned for a Broadway production in the 2013-2014 season, subject to theatre availability.

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company and Boston Landmarks Orchestra will present a concert version of Cole Porter's Kiss Me Kate with Broadway's Marc Kudisch* as Fred Graham/Patruchio and Kerry O'Malley* as Lilli Vanessi/Katherine. Steven Maler, Founding Artistic Director of Commonwealth Shakespeare Company and Associate Artistic Director, Adam Sanders, will direct with Boston Landmark Orchestra's Music Director Christopher Wilkins, conducting. The free event will be held tonight, August 21st at 7:00PM at DCR's Hatch Shell on the Esplanade.

Pinkalicious - The Musical, which will run from September 14 - November 2, 2013, is the tale, based on the popular book by Victoria Kann and Elizabeth Kann, of Pinkalicious, who can't stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor's office with Pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe - a dream come true for this pink loving enthusiast. But when her hue goes too far, only Pinkalicious can figure out a way to get out of this pink predicament.

Now in its ninth month, Cougar the Musical, continues to offer new blocks of tickets for the summer, now through July 27, 2013.

The Public Theater announced another two week extension today for the world premiere musical HERE LIES LOVE, with concept and lyrics by David Byrne, music by David Byrne and Fatboy Slim, additional music by Tom Gandey and J Pardo, and choreography by Annie-B Parson. Directed by Alex Timbers, HERE LIES LOVE began performances on Tuesday, April 2 and has been extended twice due to high demand. The new 360 degree musical will now run through Sunday, June 2 in The Public's LuEsther Theater, with an official press opening on Tuesday, April 23.
