A performance of Verdi's Requiem that is a tripartite collaboration highlights the 2014-15 season of Kent Tritle, called 'New York's reigning choral conductor' by The New York Times. In an event emblematic of Kent's multiple roles in the city's choral life, he will conduct a performance of the massive work by the Oratorio Society of New York, of which he is Music Director, and the Symphony and Symphonic Chorus of the Manhattan School of Music, where he is Director of Choral Activities, in the grand space of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, where he is Director of Cathedral Music and Organist -- with a new choral configuration that features the more-than-250 singers on risers in the cathedral's Great Choir space.

Today OZ, Nashville's first contemporary arts center, announces its 2014-15 season, which runs September 12, 2014 - June 27, 2015. The season is bookended by premieres, beginning with two performances (September 12 & 13) of Tim Robbins' interpretation of A Midsummer Night's Dream, produced and acted by the company he founded and leads, The Actors' Gang, in the production's first U.S. engagement outside of the company's home theater in Los Angeles. Plays & Players continues its collaboration with Power Street Theater Company with follow-up readings of El Nogalar by Tanya Saracho, Dark Matters by Oliver Mayer and To Catch the Lightning by Carmen Rivera. These three plays, representing 30/30/2, 30/30/3 and 30/30/4, were selected from a group of finalists chosen during the 30/30/1 full day event held with local theater and Latino community leaders in March, as part of a nation-wide event. The readings hope to serve as a further contribution to the already-growing conversation about the Latina/o voice and identity in the Philadelphia theater community.

Junoon, New York City's Michelin-starred contemporary Indian restaurant known for its elegantly modern take on traditional dishes, will open its second location this fall as a 5,000 square foot, 145-seat United Arab Emirates (UAE) outpost in Dubai's five-star Shangri-La Hotel. New York based restaurateur Rajesh Bhardwaj, who founded Junoon as an expression of his passion for the food and culture of his native India, made the announcement at the restaurant's third anniversary celebration on Wednesday evening, May 13. He stated the new Dubai location will set the stage for future expansion of the Junoon brand; one internationally acclaimed for its exploration of Indian cuisine's infinite gastronomic possibilities under the guidance of Corporate Chef Vikas Khanna, one of the subcontinent's most renown culinary talents and cookbook authors.
