PURE Theatre kicks off its seventh season (2009-2010) with The Year of Magical Thinking by renowned writer Joan Didion. Directed by PURE Theatre Artistic Director Sharon Graci and featuring Lucille Arrington Keller. The production opens Friday, August 28, in PURE's space at Upper Lance Hall, located on the grounds of The Circular Congregational Church.

Intiman Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Bartlett Sher and Managing Director Brian Colburn, continues its 2009 Season with The Year of Magical Thinking, adapted by Joan Didion from her memoir, directed by Sarna Lapine and starring Judith Roberts. Performances will begin at Intiman Theatre, 201 Mercer Street at Seattle Center, on Friday, August 21 and continue through Sunday, September 20. The opening night performance is Wednesday, August 26 at 7:30 pm.

The production stars Canadian theatre icons Seana McKenna (Canadian Stage's The Clean House, Wit) and David Storch (Canadian Stage's Frost/Nixon and director of Palace of the End), and is helmed by renowned director Marti Maraden (Canadian Stage's Trying).

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) will present, BERLIN/WALL, two contrasting solo monologues written and performed by David Hare, for five performances only, May 14-17. In BERLIN/WALL, Hare visits a place where a famous wall has come down; then another where the wall is going up.

The Joyce Theater Foundation (New York), in association with the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival, The Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago and On the Boards (Seattle), is pleased to announce the 12 choreographers in each of the four cities who will participate in The A.W.A.R.D Show! 2009.
