Television and movie legend William Shatner will bring his one man show SHATNER'S WORLD: WE JUST LIVE IN IT (www.shatnersworld.com) to 20 additional cities across the U.S. in 2012-13. The tour extension follows a three-week run earlier this year at Broadway's Music Box Theatre from February 14 - March 4 and a successful tour of 15 cities across the U.S.

The 5th Annual Asian World Film Festival (AWFF) returns to Culver City beginning on November 6th and ending on November 14th, 2019. Premieres and exciting film-related events will be held throughout the nine-day festival at the Arclight Cinema in Culver City. Beloved Asian actress Nancy Kwan (Flower Drum Song, The World of Suzie Wong) will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award and Director Lena Khan will be awarded the Red Cross/Courage to Dream Award on Opening Night, November 6th. In addition, Jury President, Meryem Uzerli will present the 2019 jurors at the Opening Night Ceremony.

The 5TH Annual ASIAN WORLD FILM FESTIVAL (AWFF) kicks off with a screening of the new Warner Bros. film JUST MERCY following an awards presentation ceremony honoring actress Nancy Kwan (Flower Drum Song/The World of Suzie Wong) with the AWFF Lifetime Achievement Award.  In addition, the AWFF American Red Cross/Tiffany Circle Courage to Dream Award will be awarded to film director, Lena Kahn. Additional honors awarded to actor Hiroyuki Sanada with the Snow Leopard Outstanding Cinematic Achievement Award, and Tiffany Chu for 2019 SNOW LEOPARD RISING STAR Award. The 2019 AWFF jury members will be presented by Jury President Ms. Meryem Uzerli.

Tickets range from $32-$77 and also available a $152 VIP ticket that includes a meet and greet with a photo opportunity. Tickets go on sale Friday, November 22 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts box office or through Ticketmaster, 800-745-3000.

The 5th ANNUAL ASIAN WORLD FILM FESTIVAL(AWFF) announced Festival award winners during the closing night ceremony, November 14, at the ArcLight in Culver City. Almost 70 feature films from 50 participating countries were presented during the nine-day festival that included 25 Oscar® Best International Featured Film submissions and/or Golden Globe® submitted films. The Awards ceremony, presented to a sold-out audience, was followed by a screening of Japan's Weathering with You and a reception at the Fifty One Chinese Kitchen. The AWFF took place from November 6 - 14 at the ArcLight Culver City Theater. The evening was hosted by actress Nancy Yoon, Co-founder of Asians In LA.

Tonight Turner Classic Movies will be airing the Rodgers & Hammerstein film Flower Drum Song at 8:00 PM ET. Flower Drum Song (1961) is the only screen version of a Richard Rodgers/Oscar Hammerstein II Broadway musical to be filmed by Universal Studios, and the one that many consider to have the most imaginative choreography (by Hermes Pan).

Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design. The awards are presented through Theatre Development Fund's Costume Collection.

Myra waivers but sticks to her guns, fed up with the pressures and demands of her acting career and longing for some peace and quiet and well as a much simpler life. But dealing with her nosy, omnipresent neighbors is a different matter.

Michael Riedel reports in today's New York Post that William Shatner is headed to Broadway in early 2012 with a 2-3 week engagement of SHATNER'S WORD: WE JUST LIVE IN IT which will play for 2-3 weeks at the Music Box Theater on Broadway. The show will be a temporary booking at the theatre, which is currently home to PRIVATE LIVES, which just moved up its closing to December 31.
