Opera Saratoga's Artistic and General Director Lawrence Edelson announced today complete casting for the three exciting new productions that will comprise the company's 2017 Summer Festival, which will build on the company's commitment to producing masterpieces from the operatic cannon, important American works, and works in which dance plays an integral role. In addition, a wide variety of free and ticketed concert events will be presented from May 28th through July 16th at venues throughout the region.

Tickets are now on sale for American Composers Orchestra's (ACO) 40th Anniversary Season, under the leadership of Artistic Director Derek Bermel and Music Director George Manahan. Wilde's play, first produced in 1892 in London, satirizes the morality of Victorian society. Stanford has moved the setting forward in time to 1947; in post-World-War II London, Wilde's language and ridicule of high-society still resonate. Oscar Wilde was not so much a writer of polite English comedy, but rather a biting Irish satirist who lampooned the social absurdities and prejudices of the English upper classes, prejudices that lasted well into the Twentieth Century. This production, which runs tonight, July 11 through July 27, is PICT's third show of the season, and features a cast of 17 actors.

Wilde's sensational adaptation of this biblical tale dramatizes the eternal struggle between body and soul. Cregan's inspired production will feature stunning aerial dance, live drumming and chant, and a striking, elemental set design.

General Director Irene Dalis announced the repertoire for the company's 30th season to begin Saturday, September 7, 2013 with Verdi's masterwork Falstaff, conducted by Opera San José's founding music director and principal conductor, David Rohrbaugh. In November, Opera San José will present Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel, a family classic to welcome the holiday season. Acclaimed stage director Brad Dalton returns in 2014 to direct Puccini's bittersweet Madama Butterfly. The season will culminate with Mozart's Don Giovanni conducted by George Cleve, founder and music director of the Midsummer Mozart Festival.

In 1818, Sir Graham Rodney, an impoverished womaniser, is the owner of Huntersmoon, a magnificent old country house, but seeks relief from his life of leisure by masquerading as the dread highwayman "Frenchy". Welsh-born composer, author and actor Ivor Novello (1893-1951) was one of the most eminent British entertainers of the 20th century. OpenStage Theatre loves a good challenge. And the 2010-2011 Season offers just that. With the Fort Collins Lincoln Center closed for renovations, OpenStage Theatre will be performing in various locations throughout downtown Fort Collins. 'We're mixing it up for the 2010-2011 Season,' says OpenStage Producing Artistic Director Denise Burson Freestone. 'We're going back to OpenStage Theatre's roots in the early 70's when there was no Lincoln Center - or any performance venues outside of the university, for that matter.
