The Drama League (Jano Herbosch, President) is proud to announce the recipients of its three annual specialty awards which will be presented at The 72nd Annual Awards Ceremony and Luncheon on Friday, May 5, 2006 (12 p.m.).

The Who's Tommy and plays with Mercedes Ruehl and Kaye Ballard will be part of the Bay Street Theatre's 2006 season

Beginning March 8 (when performances begin at the Aronoff Center in Cincinnati), Julia Murney will assume the role of Elphaba, Alma Cuervo will become Madame Morrible, P.J. Benjamin will step into the role of the Wizard, Sebastian Arcelus will be Fiyero, and Jennifer Waldman will be Nessarose. Beginning March 28 (when the show will be playing at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia), K. Todd Freeman assumes the role of Dr. Dillamond.

The production will star Josh Strickland as Tarzan, Jenn Gambatese as Jane, Merle Dandridge as Kala, Shuler Hensley as Kerchak, Chester Gregory II as Terk, Timothy Jerome as Professor Porter and Donnie Keshawarz as Clayton. Daniel Manche and Alex Rutherford will alternate in the role of Young Tarzan.

Disney has announced that Tarzan will being previews on March 24, to open on May 10, 2006.

Broadway In Chicago announces today that Billy Crystal will bring 700 SUNDAYS, his 2005 Tony Award-winning Broadway blockbuster to Chicago for a limited engagement at the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W. Randolph St.) from November 8-20, 2005.
